About our client

Our client is a global private equity investor that is looking to grow it's presence in the United States by building out its New York office in response to impressive and sustained growth in Europe and Asia. They are looking to bring on board a Tax Associate to their fund operations team to work across direct and indirect tax, taking ownership of taxation and compliance. This is a really exciting opportunity as it offers a chance to play a very hands-on role in the funds US growth story.
What the job involves

  • Whilst focusing on the US jurisdiction you will also support in all fund tax reporting matters for our international investment funds, including all tax compliance
  • Reviewing tax deliverables for direct and indirect tax provided by a variety of external service providers, gaining additional knowledge and expertise in different and non-typical structures
  • Ensure proper and up-to-date local or international tax documentation and tax filings of our investment funds across all business lines including private capital and real assets
  • Actively participating in development and enhancement of new and existing processes and tools
  • Providing management structurally and ad hoc with information concerning tax reporting processes
  • Collaboration and support in fund tax specific and firm wide local and cross-border projects

Who we are looking for

  • Quality-driven and structured with attention to detail, yet service-minded with a “can do” attitude; be one step ahead, effective and proactive
  • Good knowledge of tax environment and tax principles, previous experience with tax compliance aspects
  • Efficient, organized, independent professional attitude and strong communication and personal skills, flexible, well-organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience in working in an international environment; within the financial services industry or other comparable is considered a benefit
  • University degree (or similar) in business administration, accounting, economics or similar
  • Have a personal drive and strive for excellence/success/outperformance. Willingness to develop and learn. A person who walks the extra mile, takes responsibility and wants to deliver to a high quality and contribute to the fund's growth
