A major private equity manager, in partnership with a highly experienced senior management team, has launched a new investment platform focusing on the hospitality/lodging sector in Mexico. Our client is building a stellar team and seeks an individual to join as a Senior Analyst / Investment Associate. You will have a chance to work alongside senior partners in the sourcing, evaluation of investment opportunities, playing a proactive role from the initial financial analyses/modelling through to due diligence, structuring and executing the transaction. You will also have broad exposure and support several strategic initiatives within the firm. Our client seeks a high energy, proactive individual with impeccable communication, financial and analytical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities
- Conduct due diligence and identify areas of transaction risks
- Prepare presentations for senior team members and Investment Committee
- Actively participate in all issues related to deal structuring, financing and execution
- Support team with strategic initiatives and portfolio/asset management
- Prepare regular reports on the investment and portfolio
- Conduct extensive market research
YOUR PROFILE:
- Experience with a PE real estate fund or real estate-related industries preferred (i.e. real estate consulting, hotel company, investment banking); experience in the hospitality sector a plus but not necessary
- Excellent financial modelling, analytical and presentation skills
- Self-starter, ability to work with limited supervision
- Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal
- Strong communicator and excellent interpersonal and team skills
- High level of energy, pro-active and highly motivated
- Keen to work in an entrepreneurial environment
