Our client is an AI-powered venture capital firm focused on early-stage European start-ups. The firm develops and uses its own proprietary software and AI to discover, evaluate and support investments, primarily in the areas of Consumer Internet, SaaS and Marketplaces.

The team is creating a new method for investing in private companies. Through a unique combination of data, software and Machine Learning, they are building a technology platform to help execute multiple investment strategies associated with investing in technology-driven private companies.

They are now looking to hire an Investor Relations professional to take on full ownership of the strategic relationships function. This person will be primarily responsible for building deep and long-lasting relationships with new and existing LPs, as well as developing and driving the strategic effort towards the creation of new investment strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and ambitious venture capital fund with exposure across the whole investor relations function.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with senior management on the planning and implementing of the capital raising strategy for future funds
  • Coordinate the preparation of materials to go to market: PPM, DDQs, pitching presentations, case studies and any other additional marketing documentation
  • Execute investor research and be fully involved in prospective investor outreach and fundraising efforts
  • Coordinate roadshows, prepare meeting materials, attend investor meetings and manage all follow-ups
  • Support due diligence processes and help potential investors collect all necessary information ahead of commitment
  • On-going relationship management with existing LPs
  • Preparation of LP communications and materials for investor update meetings
  • Develop and implement an innovative communication strategy with LPs
  • Establish “Investor Relations best practices and processes”
  • Work with the wider team in the preparation and coordination of key events including AGM, Advisory Board meetings and any other investor events
  • Develop and drive a strategic framework for assessing, creating and resourcing alternative investment strategies
  • Develop a strategy for initiation and development of new LP relationships
  • Participate in LP meetings and develop deep relationships with LPs

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Strong interest in the use of technology and data
  • Relevant work experience, likely to be in an investor side (VC/PE) advisory firm, consultancy, placement agent or VC/PE firm
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of Venture Capital/PE and how the market works
