Finance Associate, Europe's Leading Private Equity Group, Luxembourg

Our client is one of Europe's largest and most successful private equity houses. They invest globally, covering multiple jurisdictions and sectors. They are growing rapidly, and as a result, are looking to hire a Finance Associate into their Luxembourg office.
In this role you will report directly to the Finance Director, supporting the management and accounting of the corporate entities with funds investing in private equity and real assets. You will have exposure across their portfolio of funds, with ownership of the accounting of the corporate GP and Manager entities performed by an outsourced service provider. You will have great coverage of other departments, working closely with them to ensure scale, efficiency and best practice.

  • Oversee the accounting of Corporate GP and Manager entities performed by an outsourced service provider
  • Calculate GP management fees across the portfolio of funds
  • Review the financial statements and prepare annual reports for GP entities
  • Review accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting for GP entities
  • Be an integral team member in the preparation of the GP entities' budgets and forecasts as well as cash planning and regulatory reporting
  • Monitor service providers on documentation, reporting and accounting aspects
  • Prepare monthly reports for management
  • Liaise with the other departments, ensuring scale, efficiency and best practice is adhered to
  • Ensure that filing deadlines are respected
  • Direct liaison with the external auditors for GPs and Managers
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned or needed


  • University degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline
  • Previous experience in a respect accountancy, audit, service provider or related position
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Experience of private equity/fund accounting
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting principles
  • Strong communication in English (both written and verbal), any other language is an asset
  • Exposure to group/fund consolidation
  • Team player with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Autonomous with very good organisation and communication skills
  • Proactive, able to identify and solve issues
