We are working with a market leading PE backed company who are seeking a highly entrepreneurial individual to come on board as an M&A Associate. Whilst this is a brokerage firm, this role will involve exposure to a range of sectors, such as technology, as they look to revolutionise their sector. With significant scope for expansion, this opportunity offers a high level of exposure to significant M&A opportunities and the ability to work closely with a highly successful Mid-Market PE fund. This role will involve executing various bolt-on acquisitions, across geographies and sectors, and planning the exit route alongside the Investment Professionals of the backing fund. This is a fantastic opportunity to build out extensive M&A experience for a high performing company alongside a renowned Mid-Market fund.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be responsible for screening and evaluating business plans, assisting on all stages of due diligence and performing sophisticated financial modelling.
- You will work closely with the firms management team, as well as the team at the backing fund, and be involved in their financial analysis, strategic analysis and due diligence for potential strategic projects such as bolt-on acquisitions.
- Work actively to engage in M&A processes to build the platform into a market leader
YOUR PROFILE:
- Knowledge and a passion for private equity
- Self-starter, with ability to work independently and productively, and thrive in a loosely-structured entrepreneurial environment
- Relevant work experience from an investment bank, corporate finance house, or private equity fund
- This role does not require prior experience in financial services but does require you to have a down to earth style and ability to engage with portfolio management teams.
- Strong, demonstrable analytical skills are essential
