Our client is a very reputable private equity investor that is looking for a someone with experience at a private equity backed business who has also had experience in M&A, Transaction Services or similar.
This role is a unique, commercial opportunity to work closely with PE backed businesses and help shape their operational framework. You'll need to be an excellent relationship manager, with a track record of improving a function, and have some private equity knowledge from time in practice or elsewhere.
Alongside partnering with the firms portfolio, you'll have the opportunity to assist the CFO with finance responsibilities for the fund and group. As a result, this is a very rare opportunity that gives you two unique sets of skills for the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the firms portfolio to improve the reporting and monitoring
- General improvement of operational framework for said companies
- Create relationships with the senior team and be the first point of contact for queries
- Assist the CFO with ad-hoc finance tasks, such as fund accounting
- Have involvement in strategy and direction of portfolio - business partnering to a certain extent
YOUR PROFILE:
- Experience in a private equity/venture backed company and understand the needs of a private equity firm in terms of reporting and monitoring
- Transaction services, M&A, commercial experience a benefit
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ICAS etc.)
- Great communication and written skills
- Previous track record of operational/reporting improvement
- Good experience managing relationships
