Our client is a successful and growing turnaround firm investing into SMEs across various sectors in Europe. The firm has a significant team of operational professionals that play a pivotal role in achieving maximum value for the portfolio companies throughout the restructuring process. They are now looking to build a team of investment professionals for their Austrian office. In this position, you will work across all aspects of the deal life cycle. The position is based in Vienna, Austria.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination of due diligence streams for both buy- and sell-side transactions
- Support in the origination of new deals
- Responsible for financial modelling, including setting up model structures, normalization of working capital and assessment of valuation methods to determine enterprise and equity value
- Preparation of offer documents
- Support in the negotiations of key transaction documents (SPA, TSA, etc.)
YOUR PROFILE:
- Strong academic track record in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
- Initial work experience in M&A, private equity, consulting or transaction advisory
- Previous experience in turnaround situations is helpful, but not required
- Experience with the Eastern European market is a plus
- Excellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- You are a team player with great communication skills
- Highly motivated, hands-on with an eye for detail
- Fluency in German and English is required
