Our client, a leading mid-market private equity fund are looking to hire an Assistant Accountant to join its impressive Finance team. The firm has had significant growth in all aspects of the business in recent years and they are looking to make a number of new acquisitions in 2019, making it a very exciting time to join. Reporting directly into the Head of Accounting, your primary responsibilities will revolve around financial, management accounting and all related activities for the Investment Adviser. You will work closely with the CFO and also have great exposure to wider teams within the organisation. Study support will be provided to assist in completing your accounting qualifications. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part, or newly qualified Accountant with relevant accounting experience to become an integral part of the Finance team.

  • Preparation of management accounts, budgets and forecasts for the Investment Adviser and other ancillary entities
  • Periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Preparation and review of tax reporting information
  • Coordination of the year-end group audit process and the reviewing of accounting policies
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts and reports for the Investment Adviser
  • Support senior stakeholders with ad-hoc management reporting data
  • Review and prepare regulatory returns and other compliance requirements
  • Help the immediate and wider finance team with various projects to ensure function is 'best-in-class'

  • Degree educated and part qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • IT literate, being a competent user of Microsoft Excel
  • Relevant experience in accounting
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage short and medium term projects to meet ultimate deadlines
