Our client, a global investment fund who are based in Doha, are looking to hire a Performance Reporting & Valuations Specialist to join their high-performing CFO office team. Over the past 15 years the fund has gone from strength to strength, continually growing their portfolio of long-term strategic investments. As Performance Reporting & Valuations Specialist, you will be responsible for the investment monitoring and valuation process of the unlisted investments of the fund. On a daily basis, you will be working alongside an extremely experienced team along with some very senior stakeholders, allowing you plenty of exposure. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with valuation and monitoring experience within the investment space to become an integral member of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ongoing monitoring and tracking of the valuations of unlisted investments
- Regularly performing financial analysis and valuation for unlisted investments across various asset classes
- Regularly collaborating with various internal teams as well as a number of external parties (service providers, auditors etc.)
- Prepare valuation analysis, reports and memos for unlisted assets
- Support on internal projects to develop investment monitoring and valuations procedures
- Take on responsibility for certain operational tasks related to the overall monitoring and valuation framework
YOUR PROFILE:
- Unlisted investments valuation experience is essential
- An understanding of the different categories of equity
- Working knowledge of IFRS fair value accounting
- Demonstrable experience of financial modelling and data analysis
- Holder of a Bachelors degree, ideally within accounting or other finance related subjects
- Holder of a professional accounting qualification or CFA would be advantageous
