Our client is a Paris-based mid-market private capital investment firm has been active in the European private equity (majority and minority deals ) and private debt market for over 15 years. With offices in Spain and Italy, in addition to France and Germany, our client has an international perspective. The firm has a successful track record of investments in mid-sized companies in various sectors, especially healthcare, technology and business services at varying stages of development. Assets under management currently exceed EUR3bn, and 180 investments have been made since the firm’s inception in 2004. The Associate will focus on private equity and private debt across the DACH region, as part of a team of five people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play an active role in originating and executing both private equity and private debt transactions in the DACH region
- Responsible for financial and commercial analysis, due diligence workstreams and preparation of all necessary materials for internal decision making
- Contribute actively to the ongoing monitoring and development of portfolio companies, driving growth and helping ensure a successful the exit process
- Enthusiastic team member, engaged in the successful build up of the business in the DACH region
- Entrepreneurial, comfortable operating in a dynamic, flexible environment
YOUR PROFILE:
- Strong academic record
- Initial M&A experience & training within an investment bank, M&A boutique or a leading strategy consultancy
- Top of the class financial modelling skills and commercial judgement with an entrepreneurial eye
- Self-starter: you show initiative, keen to add value to processes and are genuinely interested in German Mittelstand companies
- Native-level German language skills and fluency in English. French is a plus but not a requirement
