Our client is a dynamic family office in Flensburg that looks to make investments in Mittelstand businesses across a diverse range of sectors in Northern Germany. They manage a sizeable portfolio and are always looking to make new investments to continue their successful track record. The team pride themselves not only on the investments that they make but also on the long-term relationships they build with the management teams of their portfolio companies. The additional Investment Manager will work on all aspects of the deal life cycle as well as on portfolio controlling and value creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Together with senior team members you will conduct detailed analysis of new investment opportunities in Northern Germany.
- Manage due diligence work streams, including financial modelling, and will be involved with contract negotiations.
- Work closely with senior management teams of the portfolio companies to ensure continued growth.
- Support on portfolio controlling and value creation. Preparation of documents for board meetings.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Degree from a reputable university, ideally in economics, business or finance.
- Previous transaction experience gained at an investment bank, M&A boutique, strategy consultancy or at the lead advisory and transaction services team of a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- You should bring a genuine interest in Mittelstand companies and a passion for investing.
- Excellent communication skills; native level German and excellent English.
