Portfolio Associate, High-Performing Private Equity Fund, Hamburg, Germany

Our client is a dynamic and successful family office in Hamburg with a substantial global portfolio incorporating private markets investments across private equity and infrastructure, comprising funds and co-investments. They are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Fund & Portfolio Associate to complement their operations team, who will ensure that adequate support is provided to both, the operations and private markets team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ongoing and ad-hoc analysis of fund performance, calculation of fund IRR's and other fund performance measures
  • Manage the investor reporting process across infrastructure and private equity, covering multiple strategies/geographies
  • Thoroughly analyse portfolio developments and craft the language used to update the investment team and investors
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative reporting to the internal team and investors through regular publications
  • Achieve a detailed understanding of portfolio investments and performance models in order to deliver accountabilities
  • Execute structural risk monitoring and analysis of future risks
  • Liaise between the operations and the investment team to provide support


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines
  • Relevant experience within the risk department of a financial institution, ideally from an investment manager
  • Strong analytical and IT skills in particular Excel and PowerPoint (MS Office)
  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently of conducting risk and control assessments
  • Fluency in German and English is required
