Finance Analyst, Leading Private Equity Fund, London, UK

Our client, who is the private equity arm of a large corporate business, is looking to hire a Finance Analyst to join their highly regarded and experienced team. The firm currently has three active funds and is looking to start the fund raising process for a fourth within the next year, making it a very exciting time to join. The role will be based in London and holds the opportunity to work very closely with the wider team, including the Directors, investment and deals team. This is an incredibly broad role, making it an integral position within the fund. It holds the opportunity for a part-qualified Accountant to get their foot in the door of the private equity industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Control all fund transactions, recording and forecasting processes and enabling routine to the Investment Committee
  • Participate in the quarterly portfolio review process, ensuring transparency on portfolio company performance and the key issues to be managed
  • Partner investment team on new deal appraisal and post-investment action plan
  • Deliver quarterly reporting for all investments and fund management entities
  • Manage the process for indirect spend management – processing, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reviews
  • Responsible for first time vendor and purchase order processes
  • Standardise the models used for valuation and forecasting purposes across funds
  • Partner the investment teams on financial performance and control due diligence for new deals
  • Review and simplify reporting and forecasting processes
  • Operational and administration support to investment and senior finance teams

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Part-qualified Accountant within either CIMA or ACCA
  • Previous data management / process improvement project experience
  • Sound accounting operation and reporting experience, ideally within a financial or professional services environment
  • Experience of managing budgeting reporting of overheads, cash planning etc
  • Able to take responsibility and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a pro-active approach
