About our client

We are currently partnering with one of the most impressive investment managers operating in North America and Asia. They are looking to add a Portfolio Specialist to their Fund of Funds team in London, where you will be responsible for the middle office, working with the investment team on a daily basis.


What the job involves

In this role, you will work across valuations, portfolio performance, quarterly reporting, as well as managing all of their third party service providers across portfolio data, tax, legal and audit. They are growing rapidly, hence the need for this new addition, and will continue to deploy $200 million a year across a number of funds moving forwards. This role provides you the opportunity to grow alongside the Fund of Funds team, and you will have full ownership of the middle office.

  • Monthly reconciliation of capital calls and distributions
  • Sense-checking Fund valuations and performance on LP Analyst each month
  • Ensuring all new fund investments and divestments are documented by LP Analyst
  • Reviewing Funds’ quarterly reports and flagging potential issues to the wider team
  • Building and improving the Funds Pool ESG risk management process
  • Reviewing Fund valuations at interim and year-end, including reconciling final valuations with the Finance team
  • Updating for post-interim and year-end valuation adjustments, including reconciling with the Finance team and LP Analyst
  • Liaising with auditors, Finance team and Tax team to address all queries
  • Verifying all data in the Funds Quarterly Update Report
  • Producing the interim and year-end Board Reports, including extracting and sense checking all data

Who we are looking for

  • Educated to degree level, with ACA/ACCA qualification desirable
  • Prior fund of funds experience highly desirable
  • Excellent eye for detail and a rigorous and methodical approach to analysis
  • A good communicator with good presentation skills
  • Excellent financial skills and the ability to undertake detailed analysis and self-review
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
