About our client

Our client is a leading European investor dedicated entirely to environmental sustainability, investing across private equity, private credit and public markets. Its private equity strategy acquires mostly majority stakes in market-leading businesses aligned with long-term sustainability trends, using buyout, growth and buy-and-build strategies.

The firm is now looking to add an investment associate to its Stockholm-based Nordic team, working alongside colleagues from several international offices. The role would suit someone with a strong appetite for sourcing and executing deals, and an entrepreneurial, can-do mindset.

What the job involves

  • Working closely with the Nordic team through the next stage of its growth
  • Managing transaction work, both independently and with the local team, through rigorous analysis, structuring, due diligence, negotiation and closing
  • Supporting origination by building a personal network among target companies in the Nordics
  • Preparing decision-making materials for the investment committee
  • Engaging with senior bankers and management teams, and acting as a second-line board member, helping to shape a clear strategy for portfolio companies
  • Acting as an ambassador for the firm at all times, including during fundraising

Who we are looking for

  • Transaction experience in the Nordic region, ideally from a private equity firm, investment bank or management consultancy
  • A strong academic background from a leading university or business school
  • The ability to work in an international context, partnering with offices across Europe
  • An attitude of understated excellence and entrepreneurial thinking, to build rapport and trust with business owners
  • High energy, combined with a detail-oriented mindset
  • The ability to generate ideas and drive opportunities independently
  • A demonstrable interest in and passion for sustainability trends
  • A strategic thinker, able to persuade through evidence-based conviction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with fluent English and Swedish
