About our client

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly successful lower mid-market fund with a differentiated investment strategy. By structuring investments across both debt and equity, the fund remains nimble in a challenging market. The team partners closely with management teams and founders across the UK, taking an active role in supporting its portfolio companies despite holding minority stakes.

The fund is looking to expand its lean team with an Investment Associate. The role will provide exposure across the full deal cycle, with the successful candidate taking an active role in due diligence and valuation, as well as supporting portfolio companies post-acquisition.

What the job involves

• Playing a key role alongside the senior investment team on deal execution, in particular financial modelling and due diligence
• Market analysis for existing portfolio companies and new investment opportunities
• Taking significant responsibility for the preparation of models and or investment files
• Building relationships with potential target companies
• Working closely with portfolio companies across strategic and value creation initiatives

Who we are looking for

• Exposure to and an affinity for the UK mid-market
• Associate level experience in mid-market investment banking or analyst - associate level experience within a private equity fund
• Strong underlying technical skills and the ability to think critically
• Excellent work ethic
• High agency and ambitious candidates
• Distinguished academic background
