About our client

An international mid-cap buyout firm in its 4th fund vintage with a focus on tech and services and a very strong track record, now looking to enter the DACH market. The firm plans to develop as a pan-European player and sees this as a key move in that evolution, with a commitment to build a local team and integrate as a major player in the German market.

What the job involves

Represent the firm in the German / DACH market, building networks among entrepreneurs, managers, advisers and other investors
Drive targeted dealflow generation in key verticals
Lead diligence, negotiations and execution including managing the internal investment committee process
Manage ongoing value creation programmes through to exit
Lead and develop junior team members
Contribute to the wider strategic leadership and development of the business internationally

Who we are looking for

A successful record of mid-cap investments as deal leader
Excellent commercial judgment and project management skills
Outbound personality able to forge and develop effective relationships with a wide constituency of people, including internally
Ambitious, entrepreneurial character, looking to build a new business in the market
An international mindset, able to work effectively cross-border; native level German and fluent English
The role is on a pathway to partnership medium term
