We are working with the investment team to secure a high calibre Associate to join them in Amsterdam.

You may come from a background in biotech, pharmaceuticals, equity research, strategy consulting or investment banking, but importantly you will hold a relevant scientific academic qualification at Master’s or Postdoctoral level.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly impressive team and take on a role with substantial autonomy and influence.

 

What the job involves

  • The essential tasks of the Associate are expected to be varied, but will include:
  • Sourcing interesting deal flow across Europe and North America; including but not limited to tech transfer offices and incubation hubs
  • Initial screening and documenting of deal flow
  • Performing deep dives and preparing investment memos into one or more technology areas that could be of interest
  • Assisting in (scientific) due diligence on companies of interest

Who we are looking for

  • A life sciences MSc or PhD degree or equivalent scientific track record
  • Strong interest in and / or exposure to neuroscience 
  • Demonstrable affinity for entrepreneurship or translating biomedical innovations into novel applications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. You can formulate analyses clearly to team members
  • The ability to work independently and form your own hypotheses
  • Flexibility, and strong motivation and self-organisation
