About our client

We are working with a long-standing Amsterdam-headquartered asset manager with a longstanding reputation spanning 100 years. They provide comprehensive values-based asset management and investment advisory services in numerous asset classes including equities, fixed income, real estate, impact, private equity, and broader alternative investments. Owing to their growth, they are now looking to hire a high-performing business development/fundraising professional act as the private markets sales specialist. This role will encompass a broad variety of client-facing duties and aid with expanding their LP base across Europe.
What the job involves

  • Working closely with the Chief Client Officer with overall strategic conception and direction of the private market solutions activities, the go-to-market strategy, and its execution in the European region
  • Primary responsibility for identifying opportunities and develop relationships with potential investors across Europe and beyond, bringing a client portfolio of relevant LPs
  • Networking and pursuing creative sourcing methods to identify and reach ideal targets, initiates and follows up on new business opportunities
  • Leverages the organization’s relationship with existing contacts by developing and executing proactive, creative and ongoing contact initiatives
  • Cultivating and maintaining productive relationships with all key stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and values
  • Collaborates with the marketing and communications team on product and sales materials to ensure they are up to date and focused on the applicable presentation, conference, or opportunity
  • Speaking on behalf of the organisation at high profile events, organizing round tables, etc

Who we are looking for

  • Experience in private equity with a track record of success distributing private products
  • European language skills or a cultural understanding across one or more NW European markets
  • Strong and active network across family offices, foundations, faith-based organisations, and philanthropies
  • Personable and comfortable working as part of a small, dedicated and highly motivated team and a friendly team player, willing to assist in all areas of office life
  • Hands on mentality and entrepreneurial drive
  • Ability to work comfortably across organizational boundaries and quickly gain the credibility and respect of executives
