Through an integrated structure, its portfolio companies operate under a shared strategic vision, generating synergies and strengthening operational and financial performance. The group includes several market-leading institutions within their respective industries and is widely recognized for its long-term approach, financial strength, and commitment to excellence. They are currently seeking a Senior Analyst to be a part of their M&A team with projects across the group’s portfolio. This position is based in Mexico City and offers high exposure to strategic decision-making and transaction execution at the group level.

What the job involves

  • Develop detailed three-statement financial models across various industries, identifying key value drivers and performing sensitivity and scenario analyses by stressing critical assumptions
  • Perform valuation of companies and projects using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis and other methodologies (e.g., trading and transaction multiples), with a solid understanding of discount rates and cost of capital
  • Analyze financial statements and projections, including opening balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and Free Cash Flow (FCF) generation
  • Evaluate transaction and project returns, assessing required investment, projected cash flows, IRR, MOIC, payback period, and overall investment attractiveness
  • Participate in due diligence processes in connection with mergers and acquisitions, including financial analysis and coordination of information requests
  • Prepare investment memos and presentation materials to support internal decision-making processes
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders involved in transaction processes
  • Train and mentor junior analysts and interns in financial modeling and analytical best practices

Who we are looking for

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong experience building financial models for M&A processes and investment projects
  • Experience in investment banking or private equity
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems creatively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality investment memoranda and PowerPoint presentations
  • High energy and self-motivation, with a strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and teamwork
