About our client

Our client is a successful mid cap buyout fund focussing on investments into medium-sized companies in the DACH region. They are now looking to hire a Risk Controller to support their team. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and managing risks to minimize potential negative impacts on the fund and ensure regulatory compliance. What the job involves

  • Implementation of regulatory requirements for risk controlling and information risk management
  • Assumption of the information risk manager function in accordance with KAIT
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of existing and potential risks
  • Monitoring risk-bearing capacity and capital requirements in accordance with KAGB
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual reports on the risks of the AIFs and the company, 
  • Carrying out the annual risk inventory
  • Updating guidelines, risk catalogues and associated documents
  • Collaboration in auditing activities of the auditors and the internal audit department
  • Implementation of projects, particularly regarding regulation
  • Assuming the function of (deputy) emergency officer for the company
Who we are looking for

  • University degree in economics, (business) informatics, (business) law or related disciplines
  • Several years of practical professional experience in risk controlling/risk management at a capital management company, bank, securities institution or an auditing firm
  • Profound knowledge of the regulatory requirements/ supervisory requirements for risk management (MaRisk/ KAMaRisk, BAIT/KAIT, DORA)
  • Experience in conceptual and project-based work
  • You are a team player with a hands-on approach and an eye for detail 
  • Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers
  • Flexible and independent way of working
  • Affinity for digitalisation and IT topics
  • MS Office skills, especially good PowerPoint and very good Excel skills
  • Fluency in German and English
