About our client

Our client, an expanding professional services company, led by high-calibre, entrepreneurial Investors with a unique buy & build strategy are currently looking for a Head of M&A to develop a strong pipeline and lead the execution of M&A deals in Germany. They are aiming to buy highly profitable, healthy lower mid-market targets in a fragmented sector, where digitalization and AI is expected to have a strong impact in the coming years. For this position we are looking for a natural networker, experienced in roll-up strategies, looking to build expertise in a highly attractive “white collar” sector within professional services. The location is very flexible within Germany with extensive travel commitments expected weekly.

What the job involves

• Developing a detailed understanding of the industry
• Building and developing a strong pipeline for further acquisitions
• Ownership of full buy-side DD process with a very hands-on approach
• Managing M&A transactions from start to finish
• Driving the growth and professionalization of the business

Who we are looking for

• Professional experience in sourcing to executing deals in Germany in lower mid-market environments
• Strong track record of building a pipeline and executing on M&A transactions
• Hands-on approach, an entrepreneurial Professional with high interpersonal skills, self-starting mentality, and motivation to develop a strong expertise in a new industry
• Previous experience within a small-/mid-cap PE firm or PE-backed corporate is ideal, must have had M&A / roll-up deal exposure. Alternatively experience within a mid-market M&A boutique or investment bank
• Outstanding strategic and commercial skillset with great communication and presentation skills
• Results-driven and goal-oriented mindset and an analytical thinking and data-driven approach
• Fluency in German and English is a must
