About our client

Our client is a specialist real estate credit investor focused on the UK & Ireland bridging and short-term lending market. As their portfolio continues to grow, they are now seeking a Head of Asset Management to take ownership of the active management of performing and non-performing loans.
What the job involves

  • Lead the asset management function, overseeing a portfolio of performing and non-performing loans
  • Take responsibility for special servicing situations, including assets in receivership or administration
  • Manage the resolution, recovery, and resale of foreclosed assets, often requiring snagging works and coordination with third parties
  • Work closely with the deal team to provide ongoing monitoring and coverage of performing loans
  • Advise on underwriting and structuring of new deals, bringing a practical, hands-on perspective to risk and recovery
  • Build and maintain a trusted network of real estate partners, agents, and contractors across the UK to support asset recovery and disposal
  • Handle both the strategic and administrative aspects of asset management, ensuring full control and transparency across the portfolio

Who we are looking for

  • An experienced asset management professional with a strong track record in special servicing and turnaround of distressed real estate assets
  • Exposure to both residential and commercial property, ideally within the UK bridging or short-term lending market
  • Familiarity with working with non-institutional borrowers and complex credit situations
  • Strong network in the UK property market with a reputation for reliability and execution
  • Detail-oriented and pragmatic, capable of managing both hands-on asset recovery and higher-level strategic oversight
