About our client

PER has partnered with a leading private credit investor that is looking to hire a VP for its London office. The business is experiencing an exciting period of growth, and this role sits within the CIO’s office. The VP will lead the oversight, structuring, and optimization of fund financing facilities across the firm’s private credit platform, ensuring compliance, sufficient liquidity , modelling, and proactive risk management. Acting as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external partners, this role offers the opportunity to expand responsibilities across multiple investment strategies as the business continues to grow.
What the job involves

  • Provide fund-side input during commercial negotiations, ensuring facility terms, covenants, and mechanics align with fund requirements and long-term strategy
  • Review and monitor facility documentation, maintaining best-practice governance standards
  • Perform scenario analysis, stress testing, and forecasting modelling of leverage utilization and liquidity
  • Maintain a deep understanding of portfolio composition to ensure accurate reflection in facility documentation
  • Ensure compliance with group policies, regulatory limits, and banking partner requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to leverage exposures, providing actionable recommendations
  • Conduct regular reviews of eligibility criteria and leverage exposures, highlighting breaches as necessary
  • Project-manage the setup of new financing facilities, coordinating input from relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with legal, capital markets, treasury, and fund accounting teams
  • Serve as the main point of contact across all teams, driving efficiency in recurring processes and embedding repeatable frameworks for future facilities
  • Deliver regular leverage and liquidity reporting to internal committees, senior leadership, and investors
  • Support senior leadership with actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making, including capital call cadence and distributions

Who we are looking for

  • Strong experience in private credit, leveraged lending, or banking
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., economics, accounting, mathematics)
  • Strong understanding of private credit, with hands-on experience in NAV or credit facility teams
  • Deep lender-side insight, including expertise in facility agreements, covenant tests, and legal language
  • Working knowledge of bank-side governance frameworks, particularly in NAV and subscription facilities
  • Experience liaising with lawyers, banks, and professional advisers
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, and liquidity management
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance fund priorities against lender requirements
  • Proficient in negotiating and reviewing amendment documentation and facility terms
  • Excellent relationship management skills with both internal stakeholders and external lenders
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal intelligence to manage lenders and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and able to perform in demanding environments
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
