About our client

Our client, a world class global investor across private and public markets, is looking for an investment banking associate with exceptional modelling and analytical skills to join their EMEA investment team based in Paris.  The new joiner will be an integral part of the investment team, participating in all aspects of the investment process, from initial screening and due diligence, through approval, to post-investment monitoring and value creation.

What the job involves

• Participate in identifying and assessing investment opportunities in attractive companies across various sub-sectors
• Conduct research and financial analysis on target companies and assigned sub-sectors
• Evaluate, undertake due diligence, execute investments, and monitor portfolio company performance, leading them to public listing or divestment
• Develop financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees
• Establish and cultivate relationships with companies, corporate partners, research analysts, and other relevant institutions
• Monitor existing portfolio companies and new direct investments against investment theses and assist with value creation
• Assist with regular portfolio reporting and periodic firm-wide strategic initiatives

Who we are looking for

• Prior experience in top-tier private equity or investment banking
• Exceptional analytical capabilities and modelling skills, with demonstrable knowledge of interpreting financial statements
• Strong academic qualifications in any discipline with a passion for investing
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage
