What the job involves

• Overall responsibility for the group’s financial accounting and controlling areas
• Strategic management and operational control of all financial activities of the company
• Development and implementation of financial strategies to support the company's objectives
• Responsibility for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitoring and analysing financial performance and reporting to management
• Advising management on business decisions and investment projects
• Ensuring compliance with all financial, legal and regulatory requirements
• Managing and developing the finance team to set the business up for growth
• Ensuring effective information flow and communication between various functional areas and units of the group
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks and auditors
• Responsibility for budget planning, target/actual reconciliations and optimisation of working capital and cash management
• Implementation and monitoring of internal control systems and risk management processes

Who we are looking for

• University degree in finance, business administration, or relevant field with excellent grades
• MBA or CPA is a plus
• Extensive professional experience in finance, including several years in a management position
• Proven experience in strategic financial planning and analysis, budgeting and financial reporting
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
• Ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and performance driven work environment
• Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, ensuring effective relationships with all key parties
• High integrity and professional behaviour
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Prior experience in a manufacturing company is helpful 
• Ideally experience with restructuring either in a consulting or operational role
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, essential for financial analysis and presentations
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English, ideally knowledge of French
