About our client

An exciting opportunity to join a private equity firm as an ESG & Impact and Investor Relations Associate, supporting investments across global markets in the financial services sector. This newly created role blends ESG and investor relations, offering exposure to fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and ESG integration across the investment lifecycle. Working closely with internal teams and investors, you will help strengthen the firm’s ESG platform and support its mission to deliver both financial and impact returns through responsible investing.
What the job involves

  • Conduct ESGI analysis and due diligence for prospective investments, supporting impact thesis development and ESGI action planning
  • Support ESGI integration and best practice implementation across portfolio companies post-investment
  • Manage ESGI performance data collection, validation, and reporting, including social, operational, and environmental metrics
  • Enhance ESGI frameworks, processes, and policies to align with evolving standards and best practices
  • Coordinate and deliver ESGI training and capacity-building initiatives within the firm and across portfolio companies
  • Assist with ESGI-related content for fundraising, investor relations, marketing materials, and due diligence requests
  • Support investor relations and fundraising processes, including CRM management, investor communications, and preparation of marketing collateral
  • Prepare and manage investor reporting, such as quarterly updates and fund performance materials
  • Support the planning and execution of investor events, including annual conferences and advisory committee meetings
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge sharing and represent the firm at relevant industry events

Who we are looking for

  • Demonstrated experience managing ESGI and investor relations matters, including conducting related analysis, ideally within private equity, consulting, or professional services in an ESG, impact, or sustainability-focused role
  • Strong capabilities in ESG risk identification, mitigation, and value creation opportunities
  • Experience developing impact investment cases, with a clear understanding of impact pathways and measurable outcomes
  • Proficient in ESGI data collection, analysis, and preparation for reporting and decision-making
  • Deep interest in ESG performance, economic development, and social impact within emerging markets
  • Solid understanding of institutional investor expectations, including due diligence, performance metrics, and ESG reporting standards
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strategic thinker with operational execution skills, project management experience, and ability to take ownership
  • Agile, creative, and flexible mindset paired with rigorous analysis and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
