About our client

Our client is a leading privately held investment group with a highly successful global initiative covering investment opportunities in private equity, hedge funds, and real estate. Their Private Equity function carries a lean team, sector-agnostic focus, and flexibility on capital structure, which they are able to leverage along with their privately-held nature to ensure they are not limited by typical fund arrangements, making this a potentially interesting and varied role. They deploy capital primarily within North American mid-market buyout, but have increasing exposure to Europe.

Going forward, they are aiming to grow their co-Investment exposure and as such are looking for an Associate with the technical skillset and versatility to work in a lean team and complete in-depth analysis of target companies.

What the job involves

End-to-end coverage of the due diligence process on potential investment opportunities
In-depth analysis on target companies
Preparation of materials for, and discussion of, investment opportunities for the investment committee
Attendance at regular update meetings with existing portfolio managers
Attendance at meetings with potential GPs

Who we are looking for

2-4 years of experience in investment banking and private equity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong numeracy and technical modelling ability
Strong personability and the ability to work well in a lean team environment
