What the job involves
This role is designed for highly ambitious individuals seeking a unique opportunity to work directly with the executive team, gain exposure to board and investor-level decision making, and play a key role in building a market-leading company from the ground up. As Chief of Staff, you will work directly alongside the CEO and CFO on the company’s most critical strategic, financial, operational and M&A-related decisions. You will act as a central sparring partner, project manager, and extended arm of the executive leadership team.
You are responsible for strategic special projects, prepare key decision-making processes, and ensure that the most important topics are consistently driven forward across all functions.
The role offers unique insight into the company’s build-up and scaling phase, as well as a clear development path within a strongly growing organization.
Preparation and support of board meetings, investor updates, and management reporting
Steering strategic special projects across all areas, ranging from market and competitive analyses to pipeline topics, as well as organizational and process-related matters
Preparation of decision-making materials for the CEO and CFO, including analyses, data evaluations, and actionable recommendations
Driving cross-functional initiatives across strategy, finance, operations, technology and organizational development
Development and continuous enhancement of internal processes, KPI structures, and reporting routines
Acting as a key interface between the leadership team, newly acquired brokerage firms, and external stakeholders (investors, advisors, banks)
Supporting selected M&A and integration projects in close collaboration with the M&A and transformation team
Independent ownership of operational topics requiring executive-level attention in a growing organization
Active participation in building an independent, integrated, and technology-enabled multi-specialist insurance brokerage from the founding phase onward
Direct collaboration with an experienced founder, management, and private equity investor team
High level of ownership and visible impact on the company’s development
A steep learning curve through deep exposure to strategy, finance, M&A, and operations in a growing company from day one
Attractive compensation package consisting of a competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, additional long-term performance-based incentives
Flat hierarchies, fast decision-making processes, and clear development opportunities in an entrepreneurial environment
Clear career path into line or strategic responsibility within the group after 24-36 months
Modern working environment with high flexibility and strong team cohesion
Who we are looking for
2–3 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm, Big Four advisory practice, investment bank, M&A boutique, private equity fund, or venture capital firm
Experience in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, private equity-backed or buy-and-build environment is advantageous but not required
Excellent analytical skills, as well as strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in the insurance market, financial services, or a buy-and-build environment is a strong plus, but not a requirement
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
High self-motivation, strong ownership mindset, and a pragmatic, execution-oriented approach
Confident in dealing with senior stakeholders, investors, and confidential information
