What the job involves

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, data based decision making structures and corresponding analysis and reporting tools aligned with growth objectives, ensuring robust planning and forecasting
  • Develop and oversee all accounting functions, ensure IFRS-compliant reporting and manage tax structures efficiently
  • Build business plans, financial reporting and steering tools, financial models, and ROI analyses to support expansion projects and fundraising initiatives
  • Lead discussions with investors, including private equity partners, and support fundraising initiatives
  • Analyse financial progress and investment efficiency for current and upcoming production plants
  • Partner with the CEO, Board and operational teams to enable optimisation of cost structures, production efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Represent the company in negotiations with strategic partners and international stakeholders
  • Leverage plant data and analytics tools, including Power BI, to enhance reporting, monitor anomalies, and drive operational efficiency

Who we are looking for

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field 
  • Several years of track record in financial leadership, ideally with industrial, project financing, or private equity exposure
  • Experience in startup or growth-stage manufacturing operations is advantageous
  • Strong foundation in accounting, IFRS, tax structures, and financial modelling (ideally with background in Big4 audit firm in either tax or audit)
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI, Excel) and data-driven decision-making
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, and hands-on with a problem-solving mindset. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on efficiency and impact
  • Ability to develop and mentor a growing finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate operational data into financial insight
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Capable of interacting with investors, regulators, and industry partners
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English
