About our client

We are working with an innovative multi-strategy private investment firm, coupled with a community platform dedicated to fostering extraordinary relationships. Their role is to bring together exceptional people and ideas, creating unique, value-adding, and aligned opportunities. The group facilitates strategic partnerships, arranges private market transactions, cultivates personal connections, and champions philanthropic initiatives.

The firm has evolved from its origins as a family office into an increasingly active fund management business, with a strong focus on technology and AI-driven investments, primarily in the United States.

As a Senior Associate within the Investment Team, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality investment research, analysis, and written materials that support the group’s deal-by-deal investment activity. Reporting to the CEO and the CIO, this role is central to the firm’s fund management and co-investment strategy. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to evaluate opportunities sourced primarily by the group’s founder, constructing rigorous investment memos that both educate internal decision-makers and are shared with external capital partners, including family offices and US-based endowments. The role demands intellectual rigour, speed, strong judgement, and the ability to clearly articulate complex investment theses. The role will not be involved in the sourcing of new deals of the execution of investments.

What the job involves

  • Investment research & analysis
  • Conduct deep-dive research on technology and AI-focused investment opportunities, spanning seed to growth-stage companies
  • Analyse markets, competitive landscapes, business models, and management teams, using a combination of public sources, expert calls, and proprietary insights
  • Develop clear investment frameworks and theses that contextualise opportunities within broader sector and market dynamics
  • Investment memoranda & written output
  • Lead the production of high-quality, long-form investment memoranda that articulate the strategic rationale, risks, upside, and valuation considerations of potential investments
  • Synthesize incomplete or imperfect information into coherent, well-reasoned narratives under tight timeframe
  • Financial modelling & valuation
  • Build and review financial models appropriate for venture and growth-stage investments, including market sizing (TAM), revenue trajectories, unit economics, and valuation scenarios
  • Adapt and rebuild management models, applying independent assumptions and judgement where data is limited
  • Support valuation analysis across a range of deals
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Engage with founders, senior executives, and principals at leading technology companies and global family offices
  • Support communication with external capital partners by clearly articulating investment logic and responding to follow-up questions
  • Operate with professionalism and discretion in a high-trust, relationship-driven environment

Who we are looking for

  • Significant, full time experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a similarly rigorous analytical role
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to construct compelling, structured investment arguments
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and effectively under changing timelines and incomplete information
  • A genuine interest in technology and AI, with the intellectual curiosity to stay current on sector developments and key industry figures
  • High intellectual horsepower, sound judgement, and the confidence to engage in robust internal debate
  • Prior operating experience within a startup or high-growth company, providing practical insight into how businesses are built and scaled would be complimentary
