About our client

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant and timely financial reporting, while maintaining a strong control environment. The VP will work closely with the fund finance teams to oversee the flow of financial data into the Group’s accounting platform. The position will have hands-on oversight of entity-level reporting, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and IFRS compliance, with a strong focus on maintaining robust processes, controls and systems across the function. 

The successful individual will have the opportunity to help shape the function as it develops, adapting to successive stages of its build-out and leveraging leading-edge AI capabilities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls and continuously increase the value-added services delivered by the finance function.

This role will require full relocation to Dubai.

What the job involves

  • Oversee Group accounting, including general ledger, cash management, reconciliations, intercompany and Accounts Payable, ensuring strong controls and process integrity
  • Lead Group consolidation and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies
  • Coordinate Group audits, working closely with external auditors and Tax to ensure accurate and timely reporting and filings
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data flowing from investment systems into NetSuite
  • Act as the NetSuite power user and owner, optimising configuration, functionality and system utilisation
  • Partner with Finance, Technology and Data & AI teams to optimise data integration and implement AI and agentic applications across the finance function
  • Lead projects to strengthen financial controls, policies and procedures, with a focus on cash, intercompany transactions, SPV capitalisation and transfer pricing
  • Drive best practice across financial reporting, consolidation and systems, continuously enhancing the value delivered by the finance function

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Group consolidation and statutory reporting, with proven experience managing external audits
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems
  • Experience within financial services, asset management or investment management highly preferred
  • Highly technical and hands-on, with the ability to operate across detailed accounting, reconciliations and systems
  • High levels of integrity, accountability and attention to detail
  • Strong communicator, able to translate complex accounting matters into clear and practical business insights
  • Systems and process focused, with a strong interest in automation and continuous improvement
  • Analytical and commercially minded, balancing technical precision with broader business objectives
