About our client

We are working for a private equity investment firm based in Munich that invests in companies where they can leverage their expertise for operational improvement.  The group has a strong track record of successful investments across multiple sectors in Germany, Belgium and CEE.

Our client has an investor base of entrepreneurs, national and international private and institutional investors. To strengthen its existing operations team, the firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional at Manager level who will work hand in hand with the Operating Partner. The role is well suited to a driven person with a background in management consultancy paired with strong financial capabilities.

What the job involves

In collaboration with the Operating Partner, develop and execute strategic initiatives across the portfolio companies.

• Working alongside the operations director or Partner, serving as a key point of contact between the investor and the portfolio companies
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed successfully
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
• Play a key role in managing and mitigating crises, working closely with the executive team to develop and execute crisis response plans

Who we are looking for

• You have gained several years of work experience including initial experience at an established management consulting firm
• Strong background in finance 
• Willingness to travel to the portfolio companies, 4 days / week, being in the Munich office on Fridays
• Broader operational experience and turnaround know-how
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization and external stakeholders
• Humble and hands-on with a team player mindset
• Native level German and very good English skills are required
