We are working with a premier player in the industrial real estate sector in Mexico with a strong presence in the major metropolitan cities. Our client seeks a highly driven professional who can join their team as a CFO. The ideal candidate will play a key role in capital raising, interacting with international institutional investors, and handle the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth. The position’s location can be flexible.

What the job involves

• Arrange for debt and equity financing
• Lead and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
• Represent the company with banks, investment bankers and investors, stakeholders, and joint ventures
• Drive the company’s financial planning, accounting and develop tax strategies
• Participate in the approval of investments & divestments
• Perform risk management by analysing the organisation’s liabilities to decide on investment strategies
• Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, planning, treasurers etc.)
• Manage the capital requests and budgeting processes
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
• Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate investments
• Report financial results and risk issues to the board of directors
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Maintain relations with external auditors to investigate their findings and recommendations

Who we are looking for

• Demonstrated experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in real estate development, the construction industry, private equity and/ or investment banking
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA or CPA is desirable
• Superior financial and business skills
• Consummate communicator, developing ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical thinker and detail oriented
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
• Availability to travel
