What the job involves

• Oversee and execute core accounting functions, including regular financial reconciliation
• Prepare and monitor budget plans, providing support in financial planning and budget oversight
• Perform cash flow planning and forecasting to support strategic decision-making
• Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with investor expectations and company growth goals, as well as external requirements, such as bank and lender standards
• Handle end-of-year audit requirements and liaise with external auditors as needed
• Conduct monthly and quarterly financial close procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Support IT system transitions and integration with accounting functions to improve financial reporting efficiency
• Collaborate with outsourced tax and payroll providers to optimise finance-related services
• Prepare and present financial reports to assist senior management in decision-making and operational insights
• Partner with other departments to set up effective cost controls and financial monitoring
• Contribute to developing best practices in financial processes and reporting in a dynamic, growth-focused environment

Who we are looking for

• University degree in finance, economics, business studies or a related discipline
• A few years of professional experience in controlling, accounting, and/or audit
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to financial management
• Ability to independently drive projects with self-initiative and accountability
• Familiarity with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting is beneficial
• Experienced in working with financial systems and accounting software; ERP system experience is a plus
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on, eager to contribute to a growing company
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and procedures in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative work style
• Willingness to work onsite, supporting the team and leadership on a full-time basis
• Fluency in German and English
