To support its continued growth, the company is seeking a VP Financial Planning & Investments to join a lean, high-performing team and play a key role in shaping the group’s financial and investment strategy. This is a compelling opportunity to take on broad responsibility in an entrepreneurial, capital-markets-driven environment. The position is based in Mannheim, Germany.

What the job involves

  • Owning financial planning for the group holding and driving the ongoing development of group-wide financial models
  • Analysing investments to support further growth in the energy and metals sectors, including reviewing investment decisions across subsidiaries
  • Coordinating and supporting financing initiatives at holding level, with a strong capital markets interface
  • Supporting the establishment of new subsidiaries and actively contributing to M&A processes
  • Further developing the group-wide KPI framework and supporting the strategic development of both the group and its portfolio companies
  • Acting with an entrepreneurial mindset in a young, fast-growing organization with significant scope for impact

Who we are looking for

  • Completed university degree, ideally with a focus on Business Administration, Finance or Controlling
  • Several years of professional experience in finance, investments, or private equity
  • Prior exposure to corporate finance and/or M&A advisory is highly advantageous
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities
  • High degree of independence, ownership mindset, and initiative
  • Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach, with a strong affinity for numbers
  • Confident, professional presence combined with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly within the U.S. and Europe
  • Fluency in both German and English
