About our client

We are currently working with a market leader in the industrial real estate sector in Mexico, a vertically integrated platform with a portfolio of 16 properties having state-of-the art logistics, distribution and warehouse facilities in all major metropolitan cities throughout the country. Our client has created a position for a VP of Operations who will work alongside the senior leadership team in creating and leading a comprehensive strategy across all operations. The position is based on Mexico City.

What the job involves

• Lead the day-to-day processes & operations of property management, logistics intelligence & data, ESG, and IT departments
• Contribute to strategic decisions and long-term planning of the company’s strategy along with the leadership team, providing timely and accurate information on the portfolio operations and performance
• Assume a leading role in developing, implementing and tracking world-class processes and systems to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the Company
• Increase profitability according to the business strategy by working alongside the finance team to establish and optimise property budgets and forecasts
• Lead the technology department to enhance innovative business operations and achieve objectives by creating and implementing IT solutions that include property management, investment assessment, and operational effectiveness
• Collaborate with the ESG team to craft and execute sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives, establishing metrics and leading frameworks to assess impact
• Guarantee the safety and scalability of IT infrastructures, encompassing hardware, software, cloud services, and networks; lead the implementation of a new ERP system
• Establish strong cybersecurity measures and protocols to safeguard important company and client information

Who we are looking for

• At least 7+ years of experience in management consulting, manufacturing, operations, real estate development, investment banking, or as part of the leadership team of a fast-growing and innovative company
• Proven track record in handling complex operations; demonstrated success in leading process optimisation and operational efficiency & excellence throughout an organisation
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field; MBA from a top 10 global business school program
• Pro-active and accountable, with an ability to thrive in a past paced environment
• Strong financial skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic thinker, one who can align company strategy with overall business objectives
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
