About our client

We are working with a well-capitalised and highly successful lower mid-market fund which acts as the private capital arm of a larger group. Their family office-style approach provides the fund with a permanent capital base, allowing them to take a long-term approach to investing. Throughout their holding periods they focus on building lasting partnerships with strong management teams to support sustained growth and value creation.
 
The fund is now looking to add an Investment Executive to its dynamic, high-calibre team. The role will span the full investment lifecycle, from origination and execution through to portfolio management and exit. The successful candidate will work closely with the fund’s Partners and management teams, taking meaningful responsibility across each stage of the investment process.

What the job involves

• Analysing potential investments and leading large parts of the due diligence, financial modelling and execution process across mid-market deals
• Supporting directors on origination efforts through established advisory networks and building relationships with potential targets
• Screening and analysing potential investments alongside developing investment theses
• Taking significant responsibility for the preparation of models and or investment files

Who we are looking for

• Exposure to and an affinity for the UK mid-market
• Associate-level experience in mid-market investment bank, lead advisory or Analyst/Associate level experience within a private equity fund
• Compelling analytical and financial modelling skills
• Collaborative, low-ego, intellectually curious and motivated by long-term partnership investing rather than short-term financial engineering
• Distinguished academic background
