About our client

PER has partnered with an international investor that is looking to make a critical finance hire to their group finance function. This role will be responsible for all financial reporting activities across different internal group finance functions as well as oversight of continuous development in processes and controls. The role will partner with different business areas to ensure best practice across consolidations in financial policies, processes, and procedures. The role will manage a team in Abu Dhabi and partner with senior management across the group function. This role will require full relocation to Abu Dhabi.
What the job involves

  • Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and submission of periodic financial and statutory reporting across group finance
  • Ensures the integrity of all financial information in monthly processes, quarterly consolidation, and preparation of financial documents for external and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure best practice related to financial reporting processes
  • Continuously design and implement appropriate controls to strengthen the financial reporting control environment and mitigate risks
  • Work with wider group teams to assist them with documenting financial reporting processes from start to finish
  • Lead projects on automation, technology, and process improvements of accounting processes
  • Coach and lead the team members on matters relating to financial reporting and best in class reporting processes
  • Management of team members to comply with all group finance policies, processes, operating procedures, and regulations
  • Develop strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders and partner with multiple teams across the business
  • Oversee and manage the quality and timeliness of delivery of external service providers

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified Accountant with previous experience in audit
  • Experience in an international group finance function and private markets industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS with a focus on consolidations
  • Strong technical accounting and policy knowledge
  • Experience in managing and leading a group financial reporting team
  • Experience in the development and improvement of accounting processes in an international organisation
  • Experience in advising and influencing key stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with hands-on execution
