About our client
We are working with a highly entrepreneurial investment firm focused on the UK and Northern Europe. The firm seeks to make a material impact on growth and profitability within its portfolio companies, typically acting as the first private equity investor in its businesses.
With deep sector expertise across healthcare, the team offers significant operational and strategic experience and works closely in partnership with management teams to support long-term value creation. The firm operates with a lean, dynamic, and entrepreneurial culture, providing broad exposure and responsibility from an early stage.
They are looking for an ambitious and driven deal originator to take ownership of sourcing activity and lead relationships with intermediaries, management teams, advisers, and wider industry participants. You will act as a key point of contact for management teams and play an important role in developing and managing the firm’s investment pipeline.
What the job involves
Conduct market mapping across their target sectors
Track attractive companies, management teams, and industry themes
Support development of proprietary investment opportunities through direct outreach and relationship building
Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, management teams, advisers, and wider industry participants
Assist investment teams with research, analysis, and diligence workstreams where appropriate
Help build and maintain best practice origination processes, databases, and CRM systems
Develop deep knowledge of investing, private equity, and the clients target sectors over time
Who we are looking for
Relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, business development, research, or a related field
Strong organisational and analytical capability with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to synthesise information clearly and succinctly
Naturally curious with a proactive and commercially minded approach
Strong work ethic, ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively
Demonstrable interest in investing, markets, and businesses beyond day-to-day professional responsibilities
Healthcare experience helpful but not essential
Financial analysis and transaction process familiarity is beneficial, but not essential
