About our client

We are currently working with a real estate fund focused on developing world class residential vertical developments, with a key focus on the Mexico City market. Our client seeks a seasoned professional that will spearhead the development and financial oversight of new projects, from initial land acquisition through to construction and client delivery. The position is based in Mexico City.
What the job involves

  • Lead the project development team through the entire process in accordance with the fund’s standard policies and procedures
  • Create and monitor the project development schedule and budget throughout the development process
  • Manage the financial modelling and investment underwriting of the projects
  • Prepare monthly internal reports, investment memorandums, deal briefs and other documents as required for executive management and the investment committee
  • Investigate, review, and determine the feasibility for potential projects
  • Manage and oversee the entitlement process, including representation to regulatory boards and working with third parties (attorneys, land planners, engineers, etc.)
  • Oversee all phases of a project’s design, from land planning design, unit layouts, amenity plans, elevations, materials to be used, until final site and landscape plans to ensure consistent and accurate construction of the project
  • Actively participate in reviewing the bidding and contract procurement
  • Identify and implement value engineering, budgeting, and cost management opportunities through the preconstruction services
  • Ensure the delivery conditions of the projects are up to the standards expected for a “Class A” residential asset

Who we are looking for

  • Assets is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling and budgeting management.
  • Bachelor’s degree with undergraduate coursework in engineering, business management, or finance; MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Solid skills in working with Excel and financial modelling.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Superior communication and problem solving skills; proactive with a high level of energy and hands on involvement.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Availability to travel when needed
