Our client is a successful pan-European small-cap investment firm that acquires and operates stable, profitable SMEs across three main sectors: B2B services, industrial technology, and consumer (€/Chf 10-50M EV range). Built on an evergreen investment model, the firm operates as a true serial acquirer, free from the constraints of traditional private equity fund structures. Its long-term buy-and-hold approach supports both organic and acquisitive growth, while providing portfolio company management teams with significant autonomy to execute sustainable value creation strategies
What the job involves
The DACH region represents a key strategic growth market for the group and is central to its long-term acquisition strategy. To support its continued expansion, the firm is seeking an exceptional investment professional to join its Zurich-based team and lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities across the region.
Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, business owners, M&A advisors, banks and industry participants across the DACH region
Assess acquisition opportunities from strategic, commercial, and financial perspectives
Develop and articulate investment views and recommendations, present your conclusion to the Investment Committee
Lead acquisition processes, from Advisors coordination to due diligence workstreams, and structuring transaction terms
Who we are looking for
Demonstrated experience in M&A advisory/transaction services, and/or in a private equity fund, preferably with founder-owned/entrepreneurial businesses
Robust financial modelling, valuation, and transaction execution capabilities, underpinned by a strong deal track record and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously
Highly collaborative personality who enjoys working in a small, entrepreneurial team environment
Native-level German speaker, understanding of Swiss German is a must, fluency in English
